What Grace Believes

Admittedly, there is no one named Grace at Grace Communications. It’s fun to play around with the idea that someone named Grace answers the phones or that a fictitious person back at headquarters makes the last call for Grace Communications.

All kidding aside, Grace Communications is named for the way we work with clients…through grace, with grace and by grace. That is a lot to wrap your mind around. Simply speaking, results are important to Grace Communications; however, what’s even more important is the way we work with clients. Marketing is subjective and many times there are different paths to results and decision-making can be difficult. Grace Communications works with clients the way we want people to work with us, using a principle we all learned on the playground. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Again, with Grace. Respect being the most important value in any relationship, Grace is committed to success by using simple ideals -- integrity, honesty and hard work.

What we believe is also important for success:

Marketing – Grace is passionate about marketing. And, the phrase “marketing is everything and everything is marketing” has been used many times. “Marketing makes the world go round” is another famous saying at Grace Communications. It is no coincidence that marketing is the first item on the list of what we believe. Marketing is the effort that sets you apart from other people doing similar work.

Branding – Every organization, non-profit, business and even government has a brand. Good or bad, you have a brand. What is a brand? It is the way people perceive your business or organization. A brand is the reason customers frequent one place over another; it is the “feeling” we have for a product; and it is the essence of what makes you successful. A brand is an investment of resources and must be protected.

Storytelling – While Grace is not your typical consulting firm, storytelling is not your typical story. Every organization has stories to tell. And, stories must be told so customers, clients or people have a better understanding about you. Stories are information that impact a decision in your favor and would cause a customer to want to purchase products from you over another vendor. Storytelling is a process using media relations, websites, blogs and other social media tools to let people know you exist and want to create a relationship with them.

Community Outreach – We are better together is another way of saying community outreach. Grace Communications is committed to working with strategic partners and stakeholders on behalf of clients. Involving more people always is an important principle for vetting ideas with the community. Community outreach also is a way to extend budgets and “reach” on projects through collaboration.

Events – Grace, also known as Denise Barr, began her career in the world of events management. So it is no surprise that Grace Communications has produced some of the region’s most prestigious and memorable events projects. Events are considered a marketing tool by Grace and are an effective way of honoring a special moment in history, celebrating the beginning or end of something important and a way of drawing attention to a business, a product or an effort.
